Our Values

We created Studio Allevia because we share a passion for helping people move well.

After years of teaching together, we dreamed of creating our own space—a boutique studio where every client feels welcomed, supported and genuinely known. A place where quality movement comes before class numbers, and where everyone can experience the benefits of Pilates in an encouraging, personalised and judgement-free environment.

Together, we bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to every session. All three of us hold a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (Comprehensive Pilates Certification), providing a strong foundation in the full classical Pilates repertoire and apparatus. Nikki has also completed an Advanced Diploma in Pilates, Cat combines her Pilates teaching with her clinical expertise as an Occupational Therapist, and Franzi brings a special interest in pre- and postnatal care, drawing on her background as a Midwife.

Our philosophy is simple: meeting you where you are. Whether you're stepping into a Pilates studio for the first time, returning from injury or refining your practice, we're here to support your journey every step of the way.

Catriona

Cat discovered Pilates while living in Scotland and quickly fell in love with the way it combines strength, movement and mindful connection. Alongside teaching Pilates, she works as an Occupational Therapist with a special interest in rehabilitation, bringing a clinical understanding of movement into every session.

She loves helping clients build confidence, overcome injury and discover just how capable their bodies are.

Franzi

Originally from Germany, Franzi is a qualified Pilates instructor with a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction and a background as a midwife. After discovering Pilates through her own injury and rehabilitation, she developed a passion for helping others move with confidence and reconnect with their bodies.

Franzi has a special interest in supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum, believing that every person deserves time to reconnect with their body and prioritise their own wellbeing. Her goal is to create a space where everyone feels supported, heard, and welcome, leaving each session feeling stronger, empowered, and more like themselves.

When she's not in the studio, you'll find her camping in the most secluded spots she can find, looking after her collection of (mostly thriving!) indoor plants, or spending time with her remarkable 22-year-old cat.

Nikki

Having grown up with scoliosis, Nikki understands firsthand the impact that ongoing pain and discomfort can have on everyday life. After discovering Pilates following the birth of her children, she experienced not only a smoother postnatal recovery but also a significant reduction in her back pain.

Inspired by her own journey, Nikki is passionate about helping others move with greater strength, confidence, and ease. She believes Pilates should be accessible to everyone and is committed to creating a supportive, welcoming environment—particularly for those who may feel nervous about exercising or trying Pilates for the first time.

With a strong focus on injury management, rehabilitation, and prevention, Nikki enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities, empowering each client to move better, feel stronger, and enjoy a healthier, more active life.
